Volunteer Opportunities

Hopestone Cancer Support Center’s mission is to empower and unite the cancer community in Bartlesville, OK and the surrounding area through education, emotional support, exercise, and the arts.

You can be a vital part of this mission. We have numerous volunteer opportunities. We would like to hear about your skills and how you might help us achieve our mission. The following is a list of current volunteer opportunities.

Reception Area Volunteer – Your role in this volunteer opportunity is to greet and assist walk-ins, answer phones, take messages and share information about our services. We are open from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You would work one of these days.  We would like to have this opportunity filled by someone who has personal experience with a cancer diagnosis.

Paint & Pour Volunteer – Monthly on the second Saturday you can volunteer to assist with setting up, conducting and clean-up after our monthly Paint & Pour party. The commitment is from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Driving Volunteer – Occasionally cancer patients need assistance getting to and from treatment. These opportunities are on an as needed basis.

Cleaning Volunteer – If you don’t want a regularly scheduled date and time, this may be the opportunity for you. There is always cleaning to be done and a list of needed cleaning activities will always be available in the reception area.

Cooking Volunteer – Our meal program is essential.  Each Wednesday at 9:30am we gather in our kitchen to prepare and package meals for cancer clients currently in treatment, and their families.

Meal Delivery Volunteer – Our fresh made meals are delivered to our clients, on the meal program.  We currently deliver to Nowata, Bartlesville, Dewey and Copan.

If you are interested in volunteering, please call Hopestone at 918-766-4673 and we will help you decide where your talents can best be used.
